First of all, you renewed my account without my consent basically stealing $60 of my money. Ok, I got screwed, moving on. Then you write to me telling me “Just email us when you want and we’ll pause your account till next season and you could start it up when you want.”

Basically I’m thinking, I got screwed, but at least I could pause this garbage over the useless summer. So I email you a couple times over the past week to exercise this option you’ve given me and yet once again, you SCREW ME. NO REPLY, NO ACCOUNT PAUSE, NO NOTHING.

You people are thiefs, I’m not even asking for my money you stole from me anymore, I’m just saying “hey, do what you said you’d do, pause my account till I ask you to start it up again” and you’re not doing it.

You seem to have a personal vendetta against the website from the looks of it. You are correct in the fact that you should consult an attorney – I am one. The offense of watching a feed on hockeystreams.com is so minor that no one would ever chase after you.

Lets be a tad unrealistic and say the NHL managed to magically get data off of their servers (keep in mind the NHL doesn’t have any lawful jurisdictions to gain access to anything to do with hockeystreams) and were to pull off your information. What are they going to do with it? They have no legal steps to do anything to any VIEWER of hockeystreams.com.

Now – let’s be realistic. What have they done to you that has offended you so deeply? A google search indicates this as being the lonely rotten apple among great apples.

No – I am not an affiliate of theirs but I have done my fair share of research regarding their operation prior to using it and being an attorney in the province of Montreal has comforted me in knowing that I am not breaking any laws by simply WATCHING their feeds.

You having a problem with them stealing the feeds is one thing – but to misinform people is just as bad a crime. There are alternatives.

I’d recommend any body reading this to take it with a pinch of salt and if you truly are worried then consult an attorney and he’ll tell you exactly what’s noted in this post.

It is obvious that Sam is not an attorney of law or someone who has any grasp of basic laws. I would not take the ‘word’ from some person on the internet (he is likely a HockeyStreams.com affiliate anyway). I would suggest anyone unsure to call a local attorney. Contact NHL or the networks HockeyStreams is stealing from. NHL and TV networks do not want internet scumbags stealing and profiting from their feeds, why else would they ‘copyright’ their material if they want any blow Joe stealing their feeds? Simply use basic common sense and do your own research, you’ll find more facts. Because if you don’t and your IP gets traced or your payment method (i.e PayPal or credit cards) gets intercepted – telling the Judge during trial – “Sam on the internet said no one can sue me” probably won’t be a very good defense.

Sam is right about one thing, nobody likes thieves and people who spin bullshit. That’s why it is encouraged to use common sense. Who do you trust “Sam on the internet” or the local attorney of law? *CYA* Cover Your Ass!

Just to clear up some misconceptions for people reading this – no one can sue you for watching any feed online. I’ve used hockeystreams.com for the past season and found it to be bar none the best streaming website on the internet. No, I am not affiliated with them but what I hate more than thieves is idiots spinning bullshit.
